Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Buttercream

This is our always popular chocolate cake filled and covered in our delicious raspberry buttercream. Our chocolate cake is lite, moist and flavorful. If you love chocolate than you'll fall head over heels for this cake. And what goes better with chocolate than berries? We use real raspberries (organic if the customer desires) to make our raspberry buttercream. We do not add any artificial ingredients or food coloring. Our raspberry buttercream is truely a delicious treat! It's bursting with raspberry flavor and goes perfectly with our chocolate cake. You might find that you'll have a hard time sharing this cake, I know I do.

Red Velvet Cake

This is our Red Velvet Cake. It's filled and covered with a cream cheese frosting. Red Velvet Cake has been a southern favorite for a long time and recently has become very popular in other regions. It's always been a favorite of mine. Who can resist cutting into a white frosted cake and seeing a burst of red? In addition to being a surprise for the eyes it's always moist and delicious. Maybe this will become one of your favorites too!

Lemon Cake

This is our lemon cake. Our lemon cake has reel lemon zest and juice in it. I believe that's the only way to get a delicious, authentic lemon flavor. The lemon cake has a lemon cream cheese filling and icing. The lemon cream cheese is also made using lemon zest and juice. The combination of lemon and cream cheese is wonderful although strong. This customer chose to add a strawberry buttercream layer in the middle just to balance out the lemon flavors. If you love lemon, you'll love this cake.

Amaretto Cake

Here is our Amaretto Cake. I consider it a classic wedding cake. It's an almond flavored cake filled and covered with an almond buttercream. The cake gets drizzled with some cooked Amaretto before it's filled and iced just for that extra flavor. If the customer prefers they can leave out the Amaretto drizzle. If the customer is over 21 they can request uncooked Amaretto liquor drizzled over the cake. It's absolutely delicious no matter which way the customer decides to incorporate the Amaretto.

Allergy note: This cake contains pure almond extract.

Bananas Foster Cake

This is our popular Bananas Foster Cake. It's a banana cake with a thin layer of a rum, brown sugar caramel spread over it. Then the caramel is topped with vanilla buttercream. The cake is also covered in vanilla buttercream. If you love Bananas Foster than you'll love this cake.

Note: The alcohol used in the caramel is cooked. This cake will not cause intoxication.

Oreo Cake

It's wedding season and at the bakery that means wedding cake tasting is in full swing. I'll be doing a couple posts from some of the cakes used for wedding cake sampling. This one is an Oreo cake. Real Oreo's are used in this cake. For wedding cakes the Oreo texture needs to be fine but for a birthday or party cake it's up to the customer how chunky they want the pieces of Oreo. During the baking process the Oreo's become soft and moist. The Oreo cake is filled and covered with a vanilla buttercream. This cake is definitely a crowd pleaser!

Blocked Out Dates

August 6th and 13th. September 10th-12th, Feb 25th of 2011 and April 1st-13th of 2011.

The month of January is blocked out. In Feb. I will only be doing pre-booked orders. Sorry, but no last minute orders or cakes will be available Jan-Feb. If you've booked one of these dates your order is safe. I just won't accept any new orders during these dates.

Thank you everyone! Without you, I wouldn't have any blocked out dates and it does make me smile when I have to post notices like this. Thank you!
